About Stichting Love Planet

Serving and empowering African and Caribbean LGBTIQA+ refugees through sexual health services, advocacy, and community support.

Our Mission

Stichting Love Planet serves and empowers African and Caribbean LGBTIQA+ refugees through comprehensive sexual health services, advocacy, and community support. We ensure that no one should have to suffer or remain invisible because of who they are or whom they love.

Our Story

Stichting Love Planet was founded in 2018, born from the deeply personal journey of our founder who was compelled to flee Nigeria to escape violence and persecution based on his advocacy and work with the LGBTIQA+ community. This profound experience of seeking safety and dignity in a foreign land laid the foundation for our organization.

We understand firsthand the unique challenges faced by LGBTIQA+ refugees from African and Caribbean backgrounds — the cultural taboos, stigma, lack of access to information, and systemic barriers in their host country. This lived experience drives our commitment to creating spaces where refugees can connect, heal, and rebuild their lives with confidence and pride.

"We envision a world where every LGBTIQA+ person, regardless of origin or immigration status, can live free from fear and thrive as their authentic selves."
